RETREAT ACTIVITIES
Our retreats go far beyond plant medicine ceremonies.
Each experience, ritual, and practice is designed to deepen your connection with yourself, the medicine, and the world around you. While no two retreats are exactly alike, here are a few activities can expect.

FIRE CIRCLE CEREMONY
Release, Transform, Renew
The fire has long been a symbol of transformation. In our Fire Circle Ceremony, you’ll have the opportunity to release past attachments, negative patterns, or emotional weight by offering them to the flames.
Guided by Ho’oponopono (the Hawaiian practice of forgiveness), this ritual allows you to consciously let go of what no longer serves you. As the fire crackles and embers rise into the night sky, you’ll set intentions for the next chapter of your journey.
Expect:
- A safe, supportive space for reflection and emotional release
- A guided process of intention-setting and offering
- A closing moment of gratitude, renewal, and transformation
THE TEMAZCAL
Step into the Womb of the Earth
A sacred Mesoamerican tradition, the Temazcal Ceremony is a journey of rebirth, purification, and deep connection. Inside a steam-filled lodge, you’ll experience a powerful ritual representing the four elements and the four directions of life.
You’ll sit together in the dark, guided by heat, steam, and ceremonial chants, allowing deep release—both physically and emotionally. This is a space to detox, surrender, and emerge renewed.
Expect:
- Sacred volcanic stones (“las abuelitas”) used to generate healing steam
- A guided, four-part ceremony representing Earth, Air, Fire, and Water
- Deep sweating, cleansing, and emotional release
- A sense of renewal, clarity, and gratitude as you emerge
CACAO CEREMONIES
Opening the Heart
Cacao has been used for centuries as a sacred plant medicine, known for its gentle yet powerful ability to open the heart, deepen intuition, and enhance connection.
During our Cacao Ceremony, you’ll drink a warm cup of ceremonial-grade cacao while being guided through meditation & deep introspection. Open to all beliefs, these ceremonies aim to connect people with their inner wisdom, believed to merge with ancestral knowledge through cacao consumption.
Cacao is not a psychedelic medicine, but its effects are profound.
Expect:
- A beautiful, heart-centered experience
- A chance to explore emotions gently and joyfully
- Live music and guided introspection
Bringing the Medicine into Your Life
Plant medicine isn’t just about what happens in ceremony—it’s about what happens after. We believe that the journey doesn’t end when you leave—it only begins. Our integration support helps you bring clarity, wisdom, and lasting change into your everyday life.
Integration is the process of weaving your experience into daily life. At Mexisoul Retreats, we provide:
- Group Integration Circles – A space to share, process, and reflect with others
- 1-on-1 Integration Support – Personalized guidance for your unique experience
- Journaling, Meditation & Reflection Practices
The Power of Music in Ceremony
Music is woven into every ceremony, every ritual, and every experience at Mexisoul Retreats. Sound moves beyond words. Whether through singing, drumming, or deep listening, music will guide you into states of connection, surrender, and presence.
During your retreat, you’ll hear a mix of:
- Traditional Icaros – Indigenous healing songs sung by shamans
- Medicine Music – Authentic Mexican ceremonial music
- Live Sound Healing – Instruments like gongs, flutes, and drums to create vibrational healing
Expect:
- Live music throughout the retreat (especially in ceremony)
- The chance to experience sound healing sessions
- A deeply immersive atmosphere guided by rhythm and vibration
A Rotating Selection of Unique Experiences
At MexiSoul Retreats, we are blessed with a diverse community of healers, artists, and facilitators who bring their unique gifts to every retreat. Because of this, our mindfulness activities rotate and change—ensuring that every retreat is dynamic, alive, and aligned with those present.
You might find yourself in:
- A morning yoga session overlooking the finca
- A breathwork meditation, expanding the mind through the breath
- A hands-on art therapy workshop, expressing emotions through color and form
- A sound bath, where vibration and resonance guide you inward
Because our facilitators come from different healing traditions worldwide, you may experience something you’ve never tried before.
Expect:
- A variety of practices, from meditation to creative arts
- A balance between stillness and movement
- The freedom to participate or explore at your own pace
Every retreat is different. You are encouraged to join whatever calls to you—or simply be present in your own way.
HORSE THERAPY & HORSEBACK RIDING
Healing Through Connection & Trust
The relationship between humans and horses is one of mutual trust, sensitivity, and presence. During your retreat, you’ll have the opportunity to engage in horse therapy—a practice that uses intuitive connection with horses as a mirror for self-awareness.
Horses don’t respond to words, but to energy and emotion. They sense tension, trust, and unspoken feelings. Through this experience, you’ll learn to connect through presence rather than control.
You’ll also have the option to go horseback riding, exploring the breathtaking landscapes of the finca on horseback.
Expect:
- A chance to engage with horses in a therapeutic setting
- A deeper understanding of non-verbal communication
- The opportunity for a scenic horseback ride (no experience necessary)
MEET THE WOLVES
A Lesson in Presence, Loyalty & Intuition
Few animals carry as much symbolic and energetic power as wolves. At Finca el Péndulo, you’ll have the rare opportunity to meet the two wolves, Biko and Fifi, that have been raised on the land since they were pups.
Wolves embody instinct, connection, and the balance between independence and loyalty. Spending time with them reminds us of our own wild nature—our ability to trust ourselves, listen deeply, and move through life with purpose.
Expect:
- The chance to observe and connect with these incredible animals
- A lesson in energy, presence, and the power of the pack
- A reminder to trust your instincts and embrace your inner strength
MASSAGE THERAPY
A Pause for the Body & Mind
During your retreat, you’ll have the opportunity* to book a professional massage with one of our skilled therapists. Our massage therapists operate independently, meaning your session directly supports a local healer and small business owner who is dedicated to your well-being.
These are not just massages—they are moments of deep relaxation, restoration, and grounding.
Expect:
- A tranquil setting for deep relaxation
- Personalized massage techniques for body & mind balance
- The perfect way to integrate your retreat experience
(*Massages are optional and available for an additional cost.)
